Setting The Mood

Hello Legend faithful! Our regular readers might have noticed that Erie’s Scribe has been out of commission for awhile (I’m sure at least Cecilio’s Scribe has noticed since he’s had to do ALL of the writing for a couple of weeks.) I just embarked upon my legal education and my schedule has consisted of read for class, go to class, repeat. This sort of schedule leaves little time for blogging.

Football for real starts tomorrow night in Waco, Texas, when the Wake Forest Demon Deacons visit a Legend favorite, the Baylor Bears. Although week 1 of the college football schedule reminds us of pre-season NFL because most of the good teams are playing I-AA teams or D-I creampuffs and the games inevitably turn into blowouts, we are excited that football games that count are here.

Friend and sometimes writer at The Legend, The World’s Tallest Jockey, sent an e-mail containing the following college football quotations. It brought smiles, chuckles, and general good feelings. I hope these quotations bring you the same smiles, chuckles, and good feelings. Consider the mood set.

About the Author: I am a Cleveland sports and Buffalo Sabres fanatic. I'm currently living in Erie, but even when I'm not there, Erie runs deep in me. I'm an ex multi-sport goalie, and we goalies tend to see things a bit differently. I went to college with Cecilio's Scribe and I am also a Big Red afficiando. Otherwise my college sports loyalties are all over the place. I try to keep my posts light, but I'm a Cleveland fan so the occassional rant is possible (inevitable?).
