Monday Kick in Nuts for Jets-Mets Fans

Thank You, Sir, May I Have Another?
And, tonight, is just one in a long line of proverbial drop kicks to the nether region. The Metros have inexplicably continued their most unlikely of marches towards a repeat of an epic collapse so difficult to achieve j that I am still struggling to get my arms around it. Predictably, they now seem poised to approach historic failure not once but twice. Just as I suspected.
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away on the left coast, the Jets and Favre are fulfilling all of the prophecies we never hoped could become reality. All that stuff about the “other side” of Favre? All of those trying to squeeze it in where nothing exists? Taking chances, albeit not always good ones? Yep, all of that “other” bad s&*t is being served up super-duper buffet style right about now.
So, whereas most realistic Jets fans expected a 1-2 start, this is not ideal. A piss-poor effort against a Cassell-led Pats team that is clearly not the same kind of team, followed by 38 points given up in three quarters and an offense that appears in need of another full month of training camp to get on the same band, let alone the right station.
Wrap it all up and you’ve got one fantastic crap sandwich for this Monday night. Honestly, we can not get to a point where the Knicks become what we have to look forward to in the world of sports.
Oh, wait a second, they just showed a close-up shot of Norv Turner. So, you’re saying there’s a chance…
