QB Stat Line of the Year in Houston Loss?

Still Slingin’

Lucky enough to hit links (physical ones) yesterday for a bit for the first time since the bachelor party in February. Not pretty. Still a good time. If I could ever learn to hit a driver…Anyway, it prevented me from engulfing toxic amounts of college football like last weekend.

I got to catch Miami’s win over the Sooners. Kudos to the ‘Canes for going 3-1 through what I’ve mentioned before as a RIDICULOUS season-opening gauntlet that included a rivalry game at FSU to kick off the season, followed by Georgia Tech, on the road at Blacksburg against the Hokies then home for the Sooners. Sure, Oklahoma is not the same bunch without Bradford, but tell me at the start of the season that the Canes come out the other end of that frightening tunnel at 3-1, and I’m impressed.

The thing that caught my eye most, though, was Casey Keenum’s line from last night’s game. The Cougars, who were/are a great story, had their incredibly predictable letdown against UTEP — a 58-41 defensive battle at the Sun Bowl in El Paso. The shoe was bound to slip off this Cindarella pretty soon. Still, it would’ve been nice to see it roll for a few more weeks. Regardless, the game provided perhaps the QB stat line of the year.

How about the following numbers from Casey Keenum’s Saturday night (albeit in a losing effort):

51 completions

76 attempts

536 yards

5 touchdowns

0 interceptions

Now, I don’t know the exact passer rating equation, but I’m pretty sure Keenan’s was 10000.00 last night.
