“That was postcard bellyflopping”: Bellyflop championships announcer is priceless

We do not discriminate against any sport here at The Legend. So, how we’ve missed this to date is completely inexplicable. Frankly, it’s also unacceptable. But better late than never. A few weeks back the Australian Belly Flop Aquatic Team, also known as The Dugongs, took on the New Zealand Puku Plungers in a rather memorable contest to determine some sort of Belly Flop Champions.
There’s a lot to absorb in this clip. For our purposes, let’s almost put aside the fact that grown men are competing in a belly flop competition. Brush away the notion that it appears there has been significant training for such an event. For now, just drink in the beauty of our belly flop commentator.
The whole thing is all sorts of awesome, but the guy “calling” this epic event undoubtedly takes the cake. Have a listen. If you need convincing, here are just a few of his gems:
“That was postcard bellyflopping!”
“Known as the Mayor of man boobs…”
“The splash effect is unprecedented!”
“Not the sort of epic stuff we’ve come to expect from him.”
This guy is at the very top of his game.
