There’s a lot of stuff going on out there in the world. That, plus the holidays, has me all sorts of sentimental. It’s got me giving Ellie bear hugs at an unprecedented rate. It also has resulted in my crying at the drop of a hat and cursing any “emotional” advertising. So, thanks a lot Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Somehow in the middle of the run-of-the-mill athlete marketing approach ads from every other retailer, you went the emotional route…and, in my eyes, hit it out of the park. I don’t have an older brother, or any brother for that matter. Yet, it didn’t take much for me to relate to this one as both an older brother to my sis and a baseball guy. Well done, Dick’s. Now, pardon me I’ve got something in my eye.
