Backwards overhead buzzer-beater

Maybe it wasn’t for a state championship. Or even a victory. But you gotta love this clip. Check out Matt DeMember, a high school freshman in Maryland, who hit this improbable shot for his church league team as the clock wound down.

Number 50 has since become this week’s Internet hotness, even ascending to the top of Sportscenter’s Top 10 Plays. He’s also fielded more than a few interviews with top media from around the country. Maybe his team didn’t get the win, but kudos to the kid for giving it a toss. Hey, you never know. Now, with one halfcourt, over-the-head, no-look hoop, he’s undoubtedly got the memory of a lifetime.

Even these guys must be impressed.
