More good stuff. I caught the last inning of last night’s Mets game and enjoyed the victory (more on the whole Subway Series thing later). For those watching, it was tough to miss David Wright head over to the stands after Bobby Parnell closed it out and share a hug with a fan. As the WB11 crew similarly remarked, it was “awesome” to watch. And you didn’t even know the back story…
Well, it turns out that the fan in question had apparently made a simple request of Wright earlier in the game. Nope, it had nothing to do with a hug. According to NJ.com, the enthusiastic Mets fan asked the Mets’ captain to hit a home run. Request. Granted.
So why not a hug to put a little icing on the cake?
