I’m used to getting treated to non-highlights on SportsCenter, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Tonight, viewers were treated to a bonus in addition to a heaping serving of A-Rod hip injury analysis: a biology lesson.
Yup, in addition to famed sports analysts breaking down all the most relevant and pressing news America is dying to hear about, we now have Dr. Michael Kaplan. Kaplan spoke about things like cartilage, bones and flaps – or something. Karl Ravech did his best to look enthralled. His efforts were futile.
Hey, ESPN, the twenty minutes dedicated to A-Rod’s latest setback were awesome (by the way, we feel terribly for him), but let’s keep the skeletons off the set for a bit. We never did like biology class very much anyway.
