Stan Van Gundy’s late-game defensive strategy: form a f-in wall
- Updated: January 7, 2015
The Detroit Pistons are on a roll! Six straight since jettisoning Josh Smith. I always dug me some Stan Van Gundy, so I’m happy to see him starting to experience at least a small sample of success in Detroit. Last night, Van Gundy’s Pistons took down the mighty Spurs on a last-second bank shot by Brandon Jennings. That was entertaining. However, I found this late-game huddle moreso.
Coach instructing his troops on defensive scheme and employing a strategy I’ve seldom heard used in basketball.
FORM A FUC*!ING WALL.
Love it. Whatever it was, I guess it worked. Keep rolling, Motown.
