Vandy coach James Franklin awards walk-on a scholarship in memorable fashion

My time is short, so let me say this. F-in. Great.

Coach James Franklin is trying to do some things with the Vanderbilt football program. It’s been obvious and impressive for anyone who’s been paying attention. It shows in how they carry themselves, the culture he’s trying to instill…heck, even their new uniforms. There’s a much bigger message behind everything. Franklin is all about changing the Vanderbilt football prorgram – its image, its product, its performance — all while aligning around a very clear set of ideals. Whether it translates into long-term success is yet to be seen, but the early returns have been there.

This clip is a wonderful reflection and illustration of the attitude that’s been championed and adopted. Like I said, stellar. Congratulations, Mr. Panu. And well done, Coach Franklin and the Commodores.
