What Exactly Is The Georgia Blackout?

The official garb of blacked out Georgia revelers at Saturday’s game

This Saturday, Auburn will be facing an army of blacked out Georgia Bulldog fans. What a brilliant idea! Who would want to walk into a stadium full of blacked out fans whose blacked out anger is directed at you (I’ve seen it first hand, blackout anger never ends well)? Is the school sponsoring this blacking out? Does the administration know what the student body considers a blackout? I’m assuming this is the product of a Georgia blackout. Maybe these ladies will be blacked out this weekend?

What’s not to love about this idea (unless you are a parent of a current University of Georgia student)? I’ve always liked the Bulldogs, but this! Yeah, it’s a copy off of Penn State, but I’ve never met anyone in Happy Valley who was opposed to a good, old-fashioned blackout. There’s a reason they call it Happy Valley.

Good luck on Saturday, Auburn, I can’t say I like your odds. Cheers to you, ‘Dawgs fans, The Legend is tipping one back in your general direction this weekend.

Not a huge Georgia fan, but who can argue with a nice black-out. What a coincidence that I will also be blacking out on Saturday. Go ‘Dawgs, or at least the fans.
